SAVINGS

"The Credit Union has allowed me to save for the first time in my adult life. The ability to access low interest, affordable loans further helps me to do this. The staff at the Credit Union are always so helpful and I never feel judged on my financial status, or lack thereof."

- Current CUSEN member

FOR EVERY SEASON, THERE'S A REASON

In today's financial climate, it seems like we're always saving for something; it could be for that week away in the sun, for the kids' new school uniforms, or even just to make a head-start with Christmas presents. However, it can be difficult to plan for everything and we all need a little help from time-to-time. That's where your CUSEN comes in!

COMMUNITY BANKING

As a Credit Union, CUSEN is fundamentally different from other financial bodies, in that we are run by our members and aim to provide them with thrifty financial services. We are a "not-for-profit" organisation and we can offer flexible loans with low rates of interest, which can be repaid at an affordable rate. Similarly, any customer who saves with us can be assured that their savings are secured, protected, and can be accessed easily.

SAVE FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS

When applying for membership with CUSEN, adult customers pay £2 to join (membership is free for tenants of some social housing assosiations. please check if your assosiation is participating, and junior members can also join for free), but also agree to make savings into their account. This can be from as little as £1 per week, to help suit the needs of individual savers. Member's savings are protected, as all Credit Unions are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) they are bound by law to be insured against fraud and theft.

An annual dividend will be paid on savings subject to the Credit Unions finances
Dividend amounts change each year and are not guaranteed.

WHERE CAN I MAKE MY PAYMENTS?

Paying into your savings account is a quick and easy process. Simply call into your nearest office or collection point (the information in Offices & Collection Points will tell you everything you need to know); our helpful members of staff will do the rest. If you don't live near any of our collection points, or if it's simply not convenient for you to stop by, you can make payments at any listed Northumberland County Council office, or you can even set up a standing order with your local bank to make the payment from your bank account direct to your savings account. Similarly, you can also arrange to make a payroll deduction or have your benifits paid into your Credit Union account. If you have further queries, please do not hesitate to Contact Us.
